We are pleased to announce that we as well as standard stock photos (also available as prints), the site now also has
editorial photos and
photo art images. When searching you can also filter you search results to show a specific photo type if you wish. An alternative way to
browsing locations or searching is to use our new page which allows you to
browse subjects.
Media Stock accepting new contributor applications

VAT Up – Prices Down

As you will be aware, VAT was recently increased from 15% back to 17.5%. We are pleased to announce that we have reduced all prices so that the price you pay now is the same (or in some cases less), than before the VAT rise. Items which are now less include:
- 6” x 4” photo prints, which now start from just £5. (Previously £6)
- 7” x 5” photo prints, which now start from just £6. (Previously £7)
- £5 reduction on many large sized canvas prints
- Canvas print postage now £8.50. (Previously £9.50).

October Sale on all photos

For the month of October we have discounted all digital stock photos by 30%, whilst all canvases and prints are reduced by 10%.
As we enter a new season and the leaves start changing colour, it's the perfect time to purchase pictures of Autumn on Media Stock. Of course if you don't require something so current then it's still the perfect time to purchase any shot from the collection of UK photos on Media Stock!
With Christmas getting that little bit nearer, the good value of our canvases and prints might just help with a present that's a little different.

New XXXL Photo Size

To reflect the increasing number of very high megapixel photos being uploaded by contributors, we have introduced a new XXX Large photo size. This size is for photos of 17.6 megapixels or more – any photos with this megapixel count or greater will now include the XXXL size. Please see the
license summary page for details of all sizes available. Some minor adjustments to pricing have also been made.

New Website Colour Scheme

Today we have introduced a new colour scheme to the website. This is designed to make the website easier to use, appear ‘warmer’ and to make links more obvious. Key links (such as adding to basket) now have a green background to ensure they can easily be found. It may take regular visitors a few minutes to get used the new colour scheme, but we feel it will be of benefit to all. In the near future we will be making other usability improvements to the website. We welcome any feedback.
Affiliate Scheme now open

We are pleased to announce that the Media Stock Affiliate Scheme is now open. This scheme allows affiliates to earn 10% commission on any sales generated by visitors who originate from their website. Please view the

Lower Canvas Prices – VAT Inc Now Default

Today we have introduced revised pricing and made it so VAT inclusive prices are shown as default. We are pleased to announce that we have reduced the price of large canvas prints – 20" x 30" canvas prints are now around £10 cheaper than they previously were. Don’t forget that FREE delivery is still available on all orders over £100. Prices of stock photos have been adjusted very slightly, with the cheapest stock photo now just £2 inc VAT – a reduction of 30p.
Enhanced Photo/Canvas Print Previews

We are pleased to announce that website now has enhanced previews of photo and canvas prints. When viewing the print details of a photo the default view is a preview of what the finished print would look like. For a canvas print, this shows a preview of what the finished item would look like from the front – allowing you to see how the wrap is applied. Also for canvas prints there is an 'in situ' preview, which shows how the canvas print would look on a wall, helping you to judge the most suitable size more easily.

International delivery available on print orders

We are pleased to announce that we are now able to ship photo print orders to non-UK destinations. UK delivery remains at £2.50 per order, EU delivery is £4.50 per order and USA delivery is £6.50 per order. When you reach the checkout stage and select your country the delivery charge will be set appropriately. Unfortunately due to the size and nature of canvas prints, we are only able to ship canvas print orders to the UK.

Contributor application process made simpler

We are pleased to announce that as of today, 31/08/2008, we have made the contributor application process quicker and easier. Potential contributors can now apply using a fully online process – no CD or paperwork is required. The
contributor application page has full details of the process. The
contributor agreement has been modified to cater for electronic acceptance.
New feature - browse by map

We are pleased to announce that a useful new method of finding photos has been launched on the website – browsing by using a map. When you view any county on the website you are now presented with a map, which you can pan around and zoom in and out on. As you pan and zoom, a sample of photos in that part of the map are shown to the right. By clicking ‘View All’ it is then possible to see all photos which are taken in the current area. This feature has a number of uses, particularly when you want to find photos in a specific area – e.g. an advertising agency making a brochure for a particular part of the country.
Re-designed Website Launched

Photo and canvas prints – price changes

We have recently changed the pricing structure for photo and canvas prints to reflect the quality of the photo. Prices therefore vary depending on the photo that the print or canvas is being produced from. The new price ranges are:
- 6” x 4” photo print: £5 to £6
- 7” x 5” photo print: £6 to £7
- 9” x 6” photo print: £7 to £10
- 12” x 8” photo print: £11 to £16
- 12" x 8” canvas print: £45 to £60
- 18” x 12” canvas print: £55 to £75
- 24” x 16” canvas print: £65 to £85
- 30” x 20” canvas print: £80 to £105
Website improvements – your feedback wanted

As well as a new design, the website will have a number of new features to help you find the photos you are looking for and to purchase them. We are pleased to announce that as of 1st December 2007 ropernet IT Ltd, owners of the Media Stock website, have merged with Front To Back Media Limited. The Media Stock website will continue running exactly as before, with one exception that VAT will now be applied to orders. If you have any queries, please contact us.
Photographer profiles - new features

We are pleased to announce that the photographer profiles have been improved. You can now view a summary of all
contributing photographers . On this page you can see information such as how long the photographer has been a member, total number of photos and a summary of the sales success they have enjoyed. By clicking on a photographers name you are then taken a page showing all photos by that photographer. If you wish there is a facility to view these photos as a slideshow.
Search preferences - maintained throughout site

The search preferences you modify when viewing photo thumbs are now maintained throughout the site. So for example if you choose to show ‘36’ photos and a size of ‘Medium+’ this is now remembered, so wherever you browse on the site you do not have to reselect this.
